Bloodlines: Hunter's Moon was developed on behalf of Ch-arted by drama teacher Virginia Kennedy and author Anne Curtis, to support learning in literacy at Key Stage 3.

Bloodlines: Hunter's Moon tells the story of Count Tibor Kalnoky, the head of the most ancient family in Transylvania, who returns to his homeland from England to free its people from a tyrannous rule and a host of unworldly creatures.

Teachers, parents and youngsters aged between 11 and 14, can not only enjoy the story, which is told in the best traditions of Gothic horror, but also take part in interactive games and role play activities designed to help them learn more about the genre and cover key aspects of the curriculum.

Bloodlines: Hunter's Moon was developed on behalf of Ch-arted by drama teacher Virginia Kennedy and author Anne Curtis, to support learning in literacy at Key Stage 3.

The duo worked with teachers and students at Marden Bridge High School, in Monkseaton, Tyne and Wear, as part of an Arts in Schools Project to develop the story and have now created an audio book, image bank, music and supporting notes for teachers.

These encourage students using the resource to explore the themes of the book through role play and create their own stories and dramatic performances designed to develop their language skills and extend their vocabulary.
