As pupils prepare for nativities, festive pageants and Christmas performances, this new downloadable resource from Ch-arted is designed to help groups and schools make their own seasonal costumes.
The free Costume Maker resource, includes step-by-step instructions for creating a wide range of outfits, including a snow queen, an angel, a wise man, a snowflake and an elf.
It also includes guides for crafting classic pantomime dame attire, including a large hooped skirt and colourful wig, as well as costumes that can be used all year round such as a fairy or a bird.
All of these designs were recently tested in a special workshop at the Customs House arts centre, South Shields led by North East artist and costume specialist Sandy Harris, to ensure they are as easy and inexpensive as possible for schools to reproduce.
This resource is suitable for all age ranges and Key Stages 1-5. Remember to upload your films and images to the Gallery section of our website.
